The Burning Wing Shrine - The Aspect Warriors of the Burning Wing rarely enter battle without Wave Serpent support, enabling them to visit swift destruction upon foes anywhere on the battlefield. Even without a codex of their own, Craftworlds Eldar have undergone some rapid developments following Games Workshop’s drive to encourage armies to play to their strengths. If true, I'm not sure they're going to make the cut. The increased strength on their weapons is nice. The higher toughness is nice. The invuln is nice. They're still going to get shot off the board as soon as they either unload from a transport or webway strike. Not sure they're going to be worth it for the points unless they have some solid stratagem support. If you were wondering how the Aspect Warriors would perform in the new Codex, these 40k Eldar Fire Dragons Rules are pretty spicy!

Wargame Exclusive : They've got some Warp Spiders, male and female version, an exarch, and a Dark Eldar character. Since GW has decided to give us the middle finger with overpriced Howling Banshees and whatever-it-is the Dark Eldars got, I've decided to list all the decent proxies one could find on the Internet (or at least all I know about), in case it may help someone get the minis he wants. Then, adding 2 to the damage is also pretty crazy as this will basically guarantee that they kill anything. As the Fusion Guns will most likely be D6+4 Damage! Each could do 10 wounds.HeresyLab : They've got an Autarch that doesn't really fit with the traditionnal Eldar style, two seers, a Titan and, IIRC, a Warp Spider. Plus a bunch of other minis for other factions. Fuegan was one of the first students of Asurmen to study at the feet of the master at the Shrine of Asur, eventually losing himself upon the Path of the Warrior as an Exarch and then pursuing his own chosen combat specialties. Fuegan eventually went on and founded the Fire Dragon Aspect, schooling those Aeldari warriors who chose to follow him in the art of war with flame and a merciless appreciation for destruction, modelling his Aspect upon the dragons of Aeldari myth.

Dragon's Breath Flamer - The Dragon's Breath Flamer can unleash a ranging inferno upon a nearby foe. They are similar to the Heavy Flamers employed by the military forces of the Imperium of Man. But, is this “guaranteed” kill a good idea? Is trading 1 for 1 or 1 for 2 worth it in the overall scope of the game? Consider this: You zip your tank up and the Fire Dragons get out exploding said land land raider. What now? Your opponent can’t afford to loose another unit from those ‘dragons so they are going to get shot up and die, and in the process you may even loose the grav tank that ferried them since it is now next to your opponent’s core. Those familiar with the Dragon of Aeldari myth know that while its fire was deadly, those who drew close exposed themselves to its equally dangerous bite. All members of the unit come with a Fusion Gun (i.e. Meltagun- 12″ S8 AP-4 d6 damage) for a primary weapon, which is basically what the whole aspect lives on. They also carry Meltabombs, although there is essentially zero reason to ever use them- they have the same profile as the Fusion Gun but only a 4″ range, though they do reroll all failed wounds against vehicles (rather than just 1s), so in niche cases you might use them to try and kill a T8 target at point-blank range or something. The exarch of the unit can also swap his gun out for a Firepike (which has the same stats as the Fusion Gun, but an 18″ range) or a Dragon’s Breath Flamer (i.e. Heavy Flamer- S5 AP-1 d6 automatic hits)- forking out a few points for the Firepike isn’t a terrible option if you have some laying around and nothing better to buy, but neither are really particularly impressive options. A good opponent will be all about calculating threat range. X unit can move X inches and then shoot X inches. So those Fire Dragons sitting in the transport can potentially move 24″ + the 12″ star engine move to threaten next turn or move the 12″ to threaten this turn. That good opponent will see where you can go and adjust accordingly. Just be having those dragons in a certain area could potentially shut down parts of the table, especially if your opponent is looking to move an expensive or mission critical unit.
