About this deal

He said, "This shoe has very solid traction, but I was still able to slide, especially when moving laterally along the baseline. In 2019, he became the youngest player ranked in the top 10 by the Association of Tennis Professionals and has since achieved significant success, including reaching the final of the French Open in 2021. Although the coveted material spans from heel to midfoot, our testers were pretty split on how they felt about the comfort of their pairs. The outsole pattern, which is pretty similar to a full herringbone pattern, allowed me to occasionally slide on hard courts.

To help with this, I’d love to see them throw an additional set of eyelets toward the forefoot so that players could achieve a tighter fit. That might sound hard to do, but some players have experienced this issue with their lower-end models like the adidas CourtJam Bounce. This new line brings increased usage of Adidas’ popular Boost foam, a redesigned chassis for support and stability and a sleek new aesthetic. I did have a couple of instances of toe jamming on hard stops, but the ends of the shoes weren't so hard that they caused excruciating pain. However, once your foot is in place, it offers a bit of grippy resistance to help keep your heel planted. When Boost is featured in the name of an adidas shoe, as it is with the SoleCourt Boost, expectations for the comfort are naturally set pretty high.

I didn’t have any issues with the extra space, but it’s noticeable, and if your feet are narrow, you’ll likely be turned off by the fit. You’ll find Adidas Boost technology for comfort at the midsole, which is the white textured material that you can see at the side of the shoe. The Boost cushioning in the heel was rather plush, but the forefoot felt minimal, much like a Barricade. As is typical with more stable, durable shoe options, the SoleCourt Boosts didn't feel ultra light on the court. The shoes had enough grip that I felt secure moving on court, but they also offered enough give to provide a well-balanced feel underfoot.
