Under his captaincy, Liverpool have won six trophies headed by the Champions League and the Premier League, bringing the club its first league title in 30 years. Transferred to Liverpool in June 2011, Jordan’s early years at the club saw him struggle to settle under Sir Kenny Dalglish then Brendan Rodgers before eventually establishing himself at Anfield as a force of nature in midfield. Also could not stop laughing at the story of Trent’s mum not allowing him to get a tattoo after winning the champions league (despite it being Trent’s idea) or Hendo’s recollection of Virgil first arriving at Anfield looking a million dollars (“even his hair was perfect and I thought to myself, ‘He’s got to be good. In this unflinching autobiography, Jordan takes us from his footballingroots in Sunderland to the heat of the dressing room at Anfield. There are no earth shattering exposes, and the book contained very little new information as a Liverpool supporter. And I think I admire him even more now for understanding a little more the physical and mental challenges he has been through to work to the top of a highly pressurised environment. We tend to put footballers on a pedestal but they are human beings and Jordan clearly has a big heart and so much passion for the game, while staying grounded and thankful for all that he has, especially his lovely family. As a huge Hendo fan, I've always wanted to know more about him and how he manages to keep being Hendo in the face of all the people who just don't understand why he is so essential to any team he plays in.

The writing is often repetitive (in language and in content), and overall the book is pretty superficial, rarely going into much depth. which I felt was a little more detailed and more insightful), I was excited to reading a book on the current Liverpool captain.Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages. In this book, Jordan charts his decade-long journey with the Reds, and a behind-the-scenes look at his life both on and off the pitch.

In 2015, Jordan took the reins from Steven Gerrard, and under his captaincy Liverpool have won the Champions League and the Premier League - bringing the club its first league title in 30 years. I’ve always said that the team and the fans come first, so to share my journey is also to be sharing theirs, but hopefully also to be giving readers an insight that they’ve not had before. It's a great autobiography, a bit muddled with times and a few parts are repeated but it was a very easy read. So, it was great to reminisce and to pick up a few anecdotes from that period and insights into how he and other players dealt with the many ups and downs.

In Jordan Henderson: The Autobiography he talks about his journey from growing up in Sunderland – with football his all-consuming passion as a kid – to becoming one of Liverpool’s most decorated captains. I've followed Jordan Henderson closely since his arrival at Liverpool, so I knew most of the stuff there and it was refreshing to read about it directly from his point of view. Dominic King and Oliver Holt, who ghost wrote this book, are good reporters whose work I respect, but I found the book to be lacking in any great depth.
