About this deal

There is plenty of space above and towards the front of the board, with the two large routing holes in the shroud also nicely lining up with the connectors on the motherboard's bottom edge. Each of them is pre-wired for fan power and RGB connectivity, although it appears it can use some help. The tool-less trend continues with the top and front panel, though the top panel takes quite a bit of force to remove, whereas the front panel is almost too easy to remove.

Corsair has been one of the leading makers of computer cases for years, delivering some of the most striking designs on the market. Description The CORSAIR iCUE 5000T RGB’s contoured curves and 208 individually addressable RGB LEDs make your system unmistakable, while CORSAIR RapidRoute and a spacious interior make it easy to build. The inside of the case offers plenty of space for your components as well as for generous cooling solutions. There should be enough room for most coolers and GPUs, but note that the maximum CPU cooler height is 170mm while the maximum graphics card length is 400mm.The Tackle Tavern is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Pay4Later Limited, trading as Deko, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 728646). Out of the box, it runs the fans in Quiet Mode, but you also have Balanced, Extreme, and Zero RPM modes. The chassis components are made from steel, plastic, tempered glass, and even some rubber bits here and there. The inclusion of five USB3 ports (even if only one is a Gen 2 Type-C) adds a measure of practicality to the panache and even gives us something to do with that second Gen 1 header found on so many higher-spec motherboards. I was able to jump it iCUE and sync all of my fans into my usual thunderstorm lighting scene within just a few minutes of loading the program.

With two combo drive trays and three SSD mounts, the 5000T RGB ensures you have all the storage options you need. That’s quite a bit of extra cabling to manage, but if you’ve ever used an RGB fan before, you know it goes with the territory. It is there to remind you not to use the opening to carry the chassis, as the weight of the case itself will allow the locks to release, spilling the case and contents on the floor.Looking beyond the fans peeking through the mesh, we can see a flood of light coming out the openings on either side of the bezel.

Sadly, there are three holes with grommets to pass wires to the right edge of the motherboard but are covered, and access is tightened due to the cover. That’s nearly enough space for a sandwich of two 25mm fans with a 38mm radiator, and those who need the extra 3mm of vertical clearance will find that the slots are spaced 38mm horizontally from the motherboard standoffs.

This is where we can check that the Commander firmware is using the latest version, along with a brightness slider, an option for case color, so the icons match your chassis, and a switch to sync lighting, and unticked is desyncing the fans and strips. That said, when you look at the case in its powered-off state, it doesn’t look like a case that was designed to be lit up like the Las Vegas strip, which is oddly my favorite part about the 5000T. drive as you can snap it into place before sliding it back into the cage underneath the shroud until the two latches on either side of the tray snap down to secure the drive. RGB builds are notoriously cable heavy and even though I pride myself on creating neat PCs, I’ve had to cram my fair share of rear panels on to get them to close.
