Baby Carrier Free is well suited for carrying in the facing-out position, but please remember that your child should be at least five months old and able to hold their head up unaided when you carry in this position.For us, the BabyBjorn Miracle was indeed an improvement on the Original, but still didn't win us over compared to more versatile carriers like Beco Baby Gemini and even the ERGObaby Original. When your baby is one year old, you can start carrying them on your back, which often feels more comfortable as your child grows heavier.

There was no need for repeated repositioning as we had found with other slings and carriers we had tried. In fact, the carrier was designed alongside paediatricians to ensure that the needs of a baby were being met. The carrier is super comfortable for baby thanks to the extra soft fabric which has no seams that will chafe your baby's sensitive skin. At this age, it’s best to carry in the facing-in position to strengthen the bond between you; the warmth of your breath and the sound of your heartbeat are reassuring to your baby. The back buckle and the front panel buckle meet in the same place so it was hard to maneuver them at times.We like the wider seated position of the Beco, ERGO, or Boba better, and we believe those carriers offer better ergonomics for babies aged 4 months and older (the age range when front-carry facing-out is an option). Then in June as I was getting ready for mine and Matilda’s road trip to Brit Mums Live I was offered a Baby Bjorn to review.
