About this deal

Grahams is the hardest port house to visit as it is up a steep hill with most of the others being on the riverside. nALTERNATIVELY, Graham’s Tawny Port creates a fabulous and refreshing summer drink when served with tonic over ice with a slice of lemon. They own their own vineyards too, unlike some of the inferior brands, and I was really impressed with the set up there.

Graham's was one of the first Port companies to invest in its own vineyards in Portugal’s Douro Valley in 1890 and is now at the cutting edge of innovation in winemaking techniques. Once the must reaches the desired degree of sweetness (usually within 48 hours), fortification takes place with the addition of grape spirit at 77% alcohol by volume. The driver will input your year of birth into their device and may then require an ID check to complete the age verification process. It has rich mature fruit flavours, ON THE PALATE, rich mature fruit flavours, beautifully mellowed with a luscious long finished. This is a beautifully deep, rich tawny style, with almond and hazelnut aromas combined with notes of honey and figs. We recommend that you do not rely solely on the information presented here and that you always read labels, warnings, and directions before using or consuming a product.

Only after careful selection are they matured in seasoned oak casks until the peak of their maturity is reached, then they are blended to perfection. The Drinks International magazine's 2016 survey has nominated Graham’s as the World’s Most Admired Port Brand and the 14th Most Admired Wine Brand in the world. The move to non-traditional, clear glass bottles that accentuate the amber hues of the wines has been instrumental in changing consumer perceptions, and Graham’s have built on this success by introducing very rare Single Harvest wines in the same format. Douro is a Portuguese wine region centered around the Douro River in the Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro region.

I was just really luck that some of the cork that was stuck in the bottle was above the lip so I could just pull it out, and I didn't have to end up straining the port into the glass! By using similar techniques to both sherry and madeira, the process of oxidative ageing and by exposing the wine to heat gives it the distinct nutty, caramel, toffee and dried fruit profile that tawny port is known for. unless we get written confirmation from you that this is acceptable and that you will take full responsibilty if the parcel goes missing.
