For me it smells like oud of medium quality mixed with patchouli and adulterated with other spices/smoke and a bit of flowers.

It does smell like "real oud" here, though for all I know it's just a small amount and it's not the super-expensive stuff. The fragrance is a wise choice for the connoisseur, comprises spicy and smoky notes which evolve into a menagerie of floral elements, completed by a lingering effect of musky and woody notes. Alchohol is 'haram' or 'forbidden' in the Arabian world, so there is no alchohol in this oil, but for better understanding, forgive me this equation: this would be a high quality dry white wine compared to a sweet white 'dessert wine' that can be compared to al Kaaba, Noora. Of course that is exactly the reason why the Shamamatul in the Arabian world is so sought after and expensive: it is 'the next best thing' to pure oud oil and an affordable alternative to lovers to the real oud oil which are countless in the Eastern world but stays an acquiered taste for most Western noses. The fragrance has been designed around an oriental Mukhallat route with rich warm notes with a seductive touch to it.

Uniting deep-rooted traditions with modern times, Alf Lail O Lail comprises Spicy and Smoky notes which evolve into a menagerie of Floral elements, complemented by the lingering effect of Musky and Woody notes. keeps surprising me all day, little bursts of fragrant clouds, turning from smoky to powdery sweet and then more smoky woods - keeps resurfacing and reminding me how much I love this scent. Based on the legendary theme of Stories from the “Arabian Nights” this perfume oil or attar has been created with the same name as 1001 nights – Alf Laila O Laila.

There is also a smoky 'tobacco' note mostly in the top and in the first hour or two of the fragrance aura. A bright burst of citrus notes begin the symphony as a rare pineapple note delicately sweetens and rounds out the initial greeting. As to the reviews that say this is fresh or clean, there's a kind of aroma chemical overlay to the scent. Turning off the personalised advertising setting won’t stop you from seeing Etsy ads, but it may make the ads you see less relevant or more repetitive. If you like oud, but don't want to pay a lot of money for the real oud, I would first start with a mixed oil with Shamamatul as an important ingredient like this.

It's not about extremely high quality ingredients but the perfect work of a perfumer finding the balance and this truly luxurious accord if you will. First thing is first my sisters perfume oil was much thicker and the one she brought me back was a watery/ more liquidy type. It is always difficult, a puzzle and a challenge to try to pinpoint the fragrance notes in a highly quality thoroughly mixed Arabian oil. If you’ve already done that, your item hasn’t arrived, or it’s not as described, you can report that to Etsy by opening a case.Oriental, soft, with European taste a bit difficult to accept in the beginning, open up, explore, You will find a whole desert in it. Very little goes a very long way and sillage is huge, I could smell the scent before I had the chance to open the box! If you have any questions, or are concerned about potential allergens or other ingredients, message the seller.
