About this deal

I just recently finished A Light in the Flame and that one had the same issue, there were parts that I just wanted to get over so we can move on with the good bits. The majority of it is unbearable pain with the briefest moments of relief, and the rest is a compilation of the sweetest, most wonderful moments I've read in this series, so far. Thrust among those who see her as a symbol of a monstrous kingdom, she barely knows who she is without the veil of the Maiden.

It’s hard to talk about everything that made her so good in this book because it’s so centered around her and what she learns and goes through – it all feels like [potential] spoilers. However, deciphering the tangled webs of his Court and uncovering stunning realities about her own life causes Sera to doubt the very foundations of her duty.Leaving Sera deeply afraid she’s going to be unable to put him off long enough to free both Ash and herself before Kolis tries to get intimate with her. There was a definite lack of sex up until the last hundred pages or so, but I don't feel like the 2. Dark secrets are at play, ones steeped in the blood-drenched sins of two kingdoms that would do anything to keep the truth hidden.

Sera struggles a lot with her sense of right and wrong, she has her own firm beliefs and views but everything in Dalos is so muddied its hard to see. I enjoyed learning about this world a lot and there’s tons of little hints that I picked up on relating to the FBAA books.Sera baby, there’s a reason you are very emotional bless your heart you may not know yet, but I do 🫶🏾. Sera manages to convince Kolis that she might actually be Sotoria so after beating the shit out of Nyktos, Solis puts Sera in a lovely cage and there they sit for 65% of this book. when Cas did it, i thought it was hot, but when Nyktos did it i just felt meh about it, because it didn’t really feel original. Armentrout's gripping Flesh and Fire series, continues to captivate readers with the enthralling love story of Ash and Sera. I’m getting fed up with Sera’s repetitive inner thoughts, and I would have loved to know more about what Ash thought and went through, even a few Kolis’ chapters would have been a nice and intriguing change.

For my own sanity, I should have paced myself cause I know the wait for the next instalment is going to be pure torture. It’s really interesting being so far into each series individually and starting to see more and more where they interconnect and line up and meld together. So much is said and done in this book and I feel like a lot of what’s to come in the blood and ash series were hinted in this book and as much as I would like to believe that I am good figuring them out (FYI I am not :P), I feel like whatever my mind can come up with, Jen will find a way to surprise us again by adding her own special twist into them. It’s almost worse knowing we’re coming to the culmination of everything – all the careful planning and carefully woven threads.I really enjoyed the first two books in the series, and I knew with the way ALITF left off, there was a lot that was bound to happen. Sera discovers frightening facts that contradict all she thought she knew as she navigates the treacherous world of Kolis.
