All clues are given before Sakakibara's told anything, so it's really easy to miss the important hints, even if they're bolded. Literally nothing, the main character is in a new school with kids that act weird and that's it until page 151. Then you'd like Another, but be warned Another is good, really good but it's slow, really slow at first. A fearless use of white space and an utter disregard of conventions of direction encourage readers to engage with the physical book as the story unfolds, touching and turning it as they literally take the narrative into their hands. I give Another 3 stars not because I don't enjoy it, but merely because I had read far better novels by Yukito Ayatsuji than this one.
