I think I may subconsciously remember someone who put me at ease in my childhood wearing this, explaining that association, or maybe it’s just the scent itself. Sillage starts strong, and in one-two hours, it becomes more close to the skin, but still quite noticeable. My parents did not particularly appreciate the strong scents that whiffed around the house and I must say this perfume has a hefty ingredients list of flavors in comparison to the majority of perfumes. It reminds the vibe of other perfumes of that period but its (suntan) lotion smell makes it timeless. A first impression of this perfume (and by looking at the notes) would be that it is a bit old fashioned, very warm, spicy, maybe more of an autumn/winter perfume. The top 3 voted notes are benzoin, vanilla, and ylang ylang, and this is exactly what carries this perfume from beginning to end. Overall: This beautiful, unique Pierre Bourdon gem has great performance with a small scent bubble that adds versitility.

What I love is that is has the potential to get cloying based on the given notes, but it never does. Actually, SUN reminds me strongly of traditional orange blossoms like Oranger en Fleur, with a touch of Monoi oil added. This can present a soapy image, especially in the opening, but becomes softer, sweeter, and subtler as the day progresses. Even after all the different scents I wear in abundance my Jacket still smells of Sun that I wore 2 days before. This is followed by a gorgeous floral bouquet of rose heliotrope ylangylang carnation and lilyofthevalley.
