About this deal

To have a normal sperm quality you have to have a minimum of 5 million progressive motile cells/ml. Moving time is obviously how long you spent actually swimming lengths so that one's pretty easy. But what's the difference between total time and elapsed time? In the Health app on your iPhone, go to Browse > Activity > Workouts > Show All Data, select the right workout, and scroll down to Related Samples. Here you’ll find Total Swimming Strokes and the number of strokes per lap. There are two ways to improve your SWOLF: swim faster, and take fewer strokes. If you can improve on both counts, you'll see your SWOLF score drop through the floor. We investigated the home test device (SwimCount™) and found that it could accurately distinguish low from moderate to high TPMSC. The device's accuracy for a TPMSC <5×10 6/mL was 72.4% and for a TPMSC ≥5×10 6/mL its accuracy was 88.7%. In terms of validation compared to conventional semen analysis, the sensitivity and specificity were 87.5% and 73.4%, respectively, at the cut off value of 5.0×10 6/mL TPMSC compatible with WHO 5th semen analysis criteria. The AUC for the ROC at this cut-off was 0.85, indicting the SwimCount™ to be a good quality device compared with conventional semen analysis. Recently, European group has proven that the SwimCount™ had sensitivity and specificity of 88.1% and 93.2%, respectively, at a cut off value of 10.6×10 6/mL TPMSC [ 9].

Elapsed time is the time that has passed during the current swim session. So if you swim for 10 minutes, rest for five, then swim another 10, the elapsed time will be 25 minutes. CLINICALLY PROVEN: Designed to spot superior sperm, SwimCount only compiles counts of sperm that mimic the same natural path it would take to fertilize an egg. Clinically proven with 91% accuracy for results you can trust. There's also an individual medley (or IM). This involves a swimmer performing each of the four strokes for a quarter of their session or race. The swimming calorie calculator estimates how many calories are burned while swimming for a given amount of time. To provide the most accurate result, it takes different factors into account, so you need to supply the tool with the following information: SwimCount™ has an accuracy of 96%. With a sensitivity of 98% and specificity of 95% SwimCount™ provides an excellent performance for measuring the number of PMSCs per mL. This means that if the test shows that your sperm have less than 5 million PMSCs per mL., it is 98% likely that the test result is correct. If the test shows that your sperm have more than 5 Million PMSCs per mL, it is 95% likely that the result is correct. So just to clarify this, your STROKE RATE is how many strokes you take each minute and your STROKE COUNT is how far you move every stroke. The ideal would be that you would move your arms really fast and go really far every stroke, that’s the best scenario. In reality, that’s not how things tend to work.

You can – and it’s certainly better to get data this way than not at all. However, I prefer counting mentally because: This is your rate of movement, given in terms of minutes per 100m. It's worked out by dividing your total distance by your time. So if you swim 1,000m in 21 minutes and 58 seconds, your pace would be 2:12 per 100m (which is 2.7km/h, or 1.7mph).
