Although this is another Citrus heavy scent from Mancera, it’s a bit special for having the perfect balance of vibrant fruity and beautiful floral notes.

After launching in 2019, Mancera Instant Crush has instantly become ( no pun intended ) one of the most popular colognes among young adult men. Mancera's Aoud Lemon Mint strikes a perfect balance between the aromatic freshness of citrus and the warmth of woody notes. Released in 2016, this unisex perfume, with a dominating audience of men, features a compelling fusion of lemon and mint that effortlessly intertwines with a hint of spice, making it perfect for those who favor a scent that's fresh yet profound. At this point you're probably thinking I hate this fragrance. And for the first 20 minutes, you'd be right. After that however, and entirely different fragrance arrives and pushes the "sorry we couldn't think of anything better" opening out of the way. Also, by just looking at the name of the fragrance and the color of the bottle, one could think that this one is a great summer fragrance which it isn’t. The prevailing notes of lemony almonds, combined with ambery vanilla make it best to use during milder spring weather and fall.

You all know how triggered I get by adjectives in names like EXTREME, INTENSE, Noir, etc so imagine my feelings on this titular failure. While I do find it a versatile fragrance, I don’t suggest over-spraying it since it could easily get cloying during a couple of hours and out of place in the office, on dates, and in similar situations. Now to the fragrance itself, the title focuses on Oud, Lemon (here converted as Mandarin and Lemon) and Mint. In my opinion, the latter can only be found in the title, it can neither be found in the list of ingredients, nor can my nose really identify it in any phase of the fragrance process. I could understand Aoud Lemon even better. For someone who usually enjoys subtler fragrances, this ain’t a problem, but it is something to consider if you are shopping for something stronger. Almonds and vanilla notes always go together like bread and butter, but is that enough for you? If you ask me, get a big sample and then decide whether should you get a full bottle or not.

The fragrance opens up with a kinda mentholated candied lemon note which is bright, vibrant, and energetic. This way, you can easily adjust how much perfume you want on your skin. One thing that each Mancera perfume box includes is a faux leather perfume bagwhich is nice and handy even for keeping other stuff inside besides the actual perfume.The fragrance is interesting for me and has a high recognition value. It is a bit more biting (mint, coriander, jasmine - these are very different scents) than the well-known oud-combos (oud from Mfk, Santal Royale, M7 etc.), but has a harmonious fluffy-creamy effect. Already after 30 minutes I do not perceive any oud anymore. And that is somehow ingenious. As an oud-fan you can enjoy the oud-scent at home for a while, and until you are outside, the oud is gone and the environment is not disturbed ;-) This is a fresh and fruity cologne, and it projects a sensational masculine vibe around you after applying. This fragrance deserves some sort of award for worst name for a fragrance ever because there's barely any aoud, barely any lemon and no mint. On my skin, the initial hour has a strong and well-projecting bubble around me that as time goes by starts to sit closer to the skin with gentle wafts around me.
