About this deal

To keep your cleaner working effectively and giving the best possible suction we recommend that the duct container is emptied when it is 2/3 full and the filters are kept clean. To empty the dust box start by removing it from the cleaner by pressing the release trigger on top of the handle. But if you’re only looking at occasional use, or you don’t mind the extra hassle it does a great job with the vacuuming itself. A nice wide 1.2 m long hose to reach right in any wood burner, stove, charcoal grill or whatever other ash you’re vacuuming out. I found for my wood burner the wheels don’t add much as I carry it inside from the shed. But they do stop the floor getting scratched if I accidentally yank the hose so I suppose that’s a plus.

Only if you’re looking to break it on purpose as an excuse to get a new vacuum cleaner, otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it! To keep your cleaner working efficiently the 2 filters will need to be regularly cleaned. The first filter is found at the front behind the cover as shown. This is the exhaust filter.

Empty the dust container and clean the filters (3)

Release the bin lid by pressing the catch as shown, shake all of the dust out into your dustbin. The container may be washed with warm water but please ensure it is thoroughly dry before re fitting.

Both these filters can be dusted clean or washed in warm water, if you do wash them please make sure that they are dried thoroughly before re fitting them. Clean the blue fibre filter and the spongy bit. But the fire underneath is way easier to clean with an ash vacuum, and some come with a blower that helps get rid of the last of the dust of an outside fire. To keep your cleaner working efficiently with good suction powerand also to stop it overheating and cutting out we advise you to keep the filters clean. Your product has 2 filters, the first is the hepa filter that you will find inside the dust container. Lift the clip as shown at the top of the dust container and lift it up.To keep your cleaner working efficiently and give maximum suction power we recommend you regularly clean the filters. Keeping things clean can preventthe cleanerfrom overheating or cutting out. There are 2 filters on your product, the first one is found behind the paperbag. Open the dust box by pressing the catch at the front and take out the paper bag. If your bag is more than 2/3 full it’s a good idea to throw it away and pop a new one in. Now slide the yellow filter up to get it out of the rear of the bag compartment. You can clean this filter by using a brush to free it from dust and then wash it in warm water. The second filter is found in the lid of the duct container. First remove the container from the product by lifting the release catch on top as shown here. But I wouldn’t recommend cleaning the chimney just in case, always get a professional chimney sweep to do it. A chimney fire isn’t worth it. Once again the Appliance Hunter has been out scouring the lands, this time going through fields of ash trying to find the best ash vacuum cleaner. What I love about this ash vac, in particular, is it comes with a regular head on it so you can use it as an everyday vacuum too! It’s got good suction power and a nice big canister so you can get all your clean up done in no time.

Again, to be clear, please don’t vacuum up ashes as soon as you’re finished with the fire, wherever it is. Don’t vacuum up immediately after you’ve had a barbeque, or before going to bed as a way to put your wood stove out. It’s also got a nice and long 1.5 m hose so you can get right into every nook and cranny of your stove and get rid of all the wood ash. But, the Karcher is made with flame-resistant material and heat-resistant metal so that if your ashes are still warm in the morning you’ll be able to vacuum them up no problem. Best wait till they’re as cool as possible but this provides that extra safety net and won’t ruin your vacuum. bash it against a wall before you take it inside too to get the worst of it off before you trail it through the house. This is a nifty little ash vacuum, it’s cheap and with that comes a price of how good it is so you might find the filter tends to slip off and you need to take some extra care, and you’ll need to wash the filter more often.
