Besides that, he was literally so sweet!! He protected her, helped her, made her feel wanted and just loved her so dearly (a little too dearly at times lol) and it just fr had me screaming!!! I fr need me a NHL player who’s just as obsessed with me as he was with Monroe. Despite being sandwiched between two professional teams, fighting to be the winners of the NHL championships, and attempting to not fall in love with four players, I’m coming to realize one striking thing.
Lincoln is obviously freaking insane but just as Monroe, I indeed fell for him. He was literally so obsessed with her since the get go which I just MISSED!! I just needed to read a book about an obsessed man after reading books about men who literally acted as if they couldn’t care less about their women.
Don’t get me wrong, I live for an unhinged bad boy (Zade Meadows, Lucifer Malikov, Jeremiah Rain, etc etc), but Lincoln Daniels isn’t it. Part of what bothered me about the smut in this book was the weird and unappealing language the characters themselves used to describe it. They would have conversations about their sexcapades that very often included them throwing around some unnecessarily crude terms in public places. I love Jake ♥️ If I had a Jake, I would keep him all to myself and I would cherish him for the amazing person he is. Jake literally has my heart. Well, I'd let him keep Caleb, I'm not selfish. LOL. We got married that night. Lincoln called in a favor and somehow, I found myself standing with him in a simple white dress, in a Dallas courthouse, in front of a judge and his cute wife, vowing my life to Lincoln forever. Lincoln had made sure the vows didn’t say until death do us part.
Eh. I’m on the fence on my rating… I liked/loved a lot of things and questioned other things as well…There is a guy in this for EVERYONE. Jake the golden retriever. Caleb the broody surly grump. Ilmari the stoic strong romantic. Ilmari ended up being my fave because who doesn’t want a guy willing to call you on your shit and then treats you like a queen? 😮💨 cheating: the H’s parents cheat on each other. Another star was taken off simply for the length. This was a 13 hour read at 200k words 😭 just a bit too much for my taste even though I had a blast while reading. Honestly, this is the first book I have read by C.R Jane so I am not really familiar with her writing Style. like when you tell your boyfriend you’re not hungry and then proceed eat all of his food because it’s just better.
Her ass that fell in the butter better stay right there until he decides he doesn’t need her to breathe after all. The first problem you get is the run in with her ex. It was just left with Victor threatening him. The ex really didn’t do anything. I think it would’ve been a great opportunity for him to have tried some thing, even cornering her and trying to force himself on her something. However, I’m not too mad at it because it wasn’t the real climax of the book. The whole thing just read like fan fiction, in the worst way possible because nothing felt flushed out. At first, I thought this was a cute story about anonymous texting. NO MAAM. Jokes on me, right?! It was so much more than that. 😱*cough*psycho*cough* 😂 omg have I just teleported to red flag central? He will literally do "ANYTHING" to make her his.

However, if you would like to know about how all the side characters found their true love, I suggest starting with book one. I have yet to read a book by Ms. Geller that I did not enjoy, nor that I couldn’t finish reading within a few days because I just had to know what happened next. Didn’t feel a real connection with any of the boys. There is no love or romance. Just sex and lust. Inconsistency in personality without giving the proper amount of time for a character to have character developmentI was a predator, and she was my prey. But she was more than that.
