About this deal

It’s good to see both AoS and 40k getting their own days because hopefully, this means tons of reveals along with Horus Heresy and Specialist Games. New AoS Skaven Deathmaster! He took a 50 point price hike for this and honestly? Probably still worth it. Kurnoth Hunters with Bows Using a host of weapons from the throwing star and blowgun to the repeating crossbow and an arsenal of poisons, these dealers of death are blamed for the majority of suspicious murders in both Skaven and Dwarf societies, not to mention those untimely deaths in the human lands by those who do not deny the Skaven menace. [1a] Eshin Infantry [ ] Finally, the 1 Mortal wound option has been dropped to just leave the D3 mortal wound option for every enemy unit within 13″ on a 4+. Not bad, especially if you move it into the middle of a crowd.

Death Runners - Death Runners are the elite among the ranks of Night and Gutter Runners, having excelled at the mysterious Far Eastern fighting styles for which Gutter Runners are known and demonstrated enough wherewithal and self-determination to lead. Because of their ability to bend and contort their pliable bodies with a speed and dexterity unachievable by man, Death Runners have no need for encumbering armour - they simply dodge the blows and missile of their foes. [5] Their political reach has grown long, for they hold the power to call any Skaven forward as a heretic or a traitor. Evidence of such crimes is easily manufactured, and in many cases, it need not be fabricated at all. It is for precisely this reason that the other clans avoid angering Clan Eshin, and indeed facilitate its investigations without objection. [1a] As for those buffs I mentioned, the table is very different now. Instead of 2d6, you just roll 1d6. This means that all buffs are equally possible to roll but it also means…they’re all equally possible to roll. Definitely leaning in more on the Skaven’s randomness. The buffs include: Not even the apocalypse was enough to eradicate them from reality. Like true vermin, they survived the complete annihilation of the World-that-Was, taking up residence in the decaying realm-straddling cesspit known as Blight City in the Mortal Realms. At 170 points I think he’s probably just a bit too expensive. He might gel better in the new book though, Games Workshop articulated in the recent preview they see Skaven as a high risk, high reward army so the wide damage range might fit in just fine. It’s also going to depend on how subfaction affinity is going to work in the upcoming book. Clanrats Of course, with so many new models, they are also grabbing a new battletome book for Age of Sigmar 3.0! New AoS Skaven Deathmaster! The time spent exploring the lands of Nippon, Ind, and Cathay had served Eshin well, for the clan had gained significant training in the arts of stealth and assassination. The assassins of Clan Eshin are rightly feared by all Skaven. They come silently, dispense death with uncanny accuracy, and return to their warrens with their foes none the wiser. Their methods are seemingly supernatural, and the shadows appear to cling to them like spiderwebs. [1a]

Skaven now burrow through reality via gnawholes, manifesting across every realm in untold numbers, bringing disease and treachery wherever they go. The Skaven have changed little, only growing more cruel and duplicitous, yet still winning the hearts and minds of legions of loyal fans. This is a bigger mix of old and new units than expected, but you still get three new units in the box. Two for Sylvaneth and one for Skaven. It does make sense, though, as if there were just new units for the Sylvaneth, the box wouldn’t make a ton of sense for players trying to get into the faction. I feel the eyes upon me wherever I go. I cannot shake the notion that I am being followed. As I lay in my bed at night, I can hear the sound of claws upon the tiles of my roof. It is as if everything I do, every word I speak, is being marked." This is a pretty cool rule to get this model into combat without your opponent really knowing it! Plus, it will add some serious punch to the unit you hide it in. Nothing was expected, and so the men were at ease. Sentries had been posted, but they, too, were weary from the road. We'd taken off our armour, set our weapons to the side. A pair of bruisers from Altdorf were throwing dice and telling bawdy jokes. Little did we realize that in mere moments, half of our number would be dead, and the other half would be running for their lives."Eshin is shrouded in mystery, much more so than the other Great Clans. Little is known about the clan’s inner workings, and this information is well-hidden from prying eyes and ears. Skaven who learn too much about the assassins have been known to wind up dead, or worse, which ensures that the clan will sustain its secrecy in the centuries to come. [1a]

Whether you keep it all for yourself or split it with a friend, Echoes of Doom is a great way to start a new Sylvaneth or Skaven army – or to add to an existing one. It was the blade of Snikch that ended the life of Valten, the chosen of Sigmar, as he lay dying in his tent after his duel with the Everchosen. With the Empire reeling after its phyrric victory against the armies of Chaos, the Skaven prepared to strike against the realm of Men on their own. [7a] Wargear [ ]

Of all of Clan Eshin's warriors, though, the assassins are the most feared and reviled. These Skaven are masters in all of the techniques learned in distant Cathay and bring to bear an incredible array of fighting techniques that allow them to eclipse the greatest human killers. [1a] All Clans fear the assassins. They envy-hate them for their power-strength. Assassins kill-kill Skaven and many Man Things. To the Lords of Decay, the assassins are valuable tools that should not be squandered like hapless Clanrats." Inside the box you’ll find three swift and deadly Vertus Praetors, as well as a five-man squad of Custodian Guard – powerful warriors blessed by the God-Emperor himself. These kits come with a variety of weapon options, and parts to build one warrior from each squad as a mighty Shield-Captain, and build one Custodian Guard as a standard-bearing Vexilus Praetor. Rounding out the box are 10 Sisters of Silence, the galaxy’s premier psyker hunters, who can be assembled as Witchseekers, Vigilators, or Prosecutors. Adeptus Custodes – Blade Champion
