About this deal

The Reunion is a super sweet Friends to Lovers/Second Chance Romance about Liv Latimer and Ransom Joel, two actors who once played in a popular teen drama called Girl On The Verge. They were best of friends and attached at the hip during their adolescence growing up on the show together until they had a falling out. After the death of her father and Ransom's betrayal, Liv retreats from acting for a time before taking on a select few Indie roles she feels drawn to. Now twenty years after the show's premier the cast has been signed on for a special reunion episode. Liv and Ransom have not spoken in years, but their chemistry has not dissipated one bit. They must endure interference from rivalries and tabloid drama making Liv question whether revisiting the past is what she really needs. White noise.” I shrug. I’m good with words, but lit has never been my favorite. I’m a science and math girl. So the faster I can get through this book, the less of the trip I’ll spend with it hanging over me. We have multiple POVs that I found fun to read, but it is hard getting everyone straight. 6 POVs! Holy hell. This book reminds me a bit of my queen Elin Hilderbrand’s writing (I am thinking of Beautiful Day), which is always a good thing in my book.

I really enjoyed this sweet closed door romance. I'm a big fan of both second chance and friends to lovers tropes so this one was a total win for me. While I typically prefer a bit more spice, I can certainly appreciate this for the sweet romance it is and the chemistry between Liv and Ransom was definitely there. The side characters were wonderfully written and I would absolutely love to read a second book about Bre and Ford. I also loved the additional tabloid article inserts between chapters and thought they were a fun way to mix things up. This celebrity focused story had me reminiscing about some of my favorite shows from my youth like Dawson's Creek, The OC and One Tree Hill. If you love celebrity gossip and seeing your favorite stars fall in love then you'll love this book! Soon we’re stepping through wide glass doors and into the bright midday sun. I slip on my shades and run one hand through my short brown hair, glad I remembered to get it cut before this trip. It could be worse—in December, the highs here top out in the mid-eighties—but I’m not built for the heat. My pasty skin burns no matter what SPF I apply, and I’m not the world’s strongest swimmer. I’m not afraid of the water; hanging out in the shallow end of a pool is fine, and I can wade out in a lake to fish, but the ocean is not my friend. Even in salt water, somehow I sink.Eight months,” Mom says. “And still another five until the wedding. And I just know, I suppose. He’s attentive and smart and kind, and he’s fantastic with Theo. I think you’re all really going to hit it off.” Nora McHale: Nora is funny as hell and she didn't pass up any opportunity to push Cooper's button. She also encouraged Cooper to take chances and put himself out there and I love how supportive she was. I loved how Phillips included an older sister for Emily. Her sister, Helen, was her biggest supporter, always encouraging and concerned about Emily but never judging her. Emily’s sister, Helen, is my new hero. Sources close to the project report that scheduling conflicts nearly prevented the entire original cast from returning for the reunion, but at long last, the fully scripted, hour-long episode is a go. Shooting is scheduled for this summer, with plans to air in the fall.

Es el primer libro que leo de este autor animada por varias recomendaciones sobre sus libros y aunque en su conjunto me ha gustado, hay cosas que me han chirriado en la relación de Francis y en el personaje de Alexis. Tal vez, me esperase más del libro. She finally bares her soul to Thomas, and that would seem to clear up a lot of the questions -- except instead it points to an even more complicated scenario. If you’re a fan of Meghan Quinn, then I highly recommend this one. Even if you haven’t read her yet this would be a great starting point because it has her trademark humor and a lot of heart. Ford always finds himself too busy running the company that his parents built and spends most of his time with his assistant. Cooper finds himself distracted with the baker who happens to be an old fling he has never forgotten. And then there’s Palmer, lost in what to do with her life and looking for her future which might include an old crush who is now a sexy doctor. The are six hour-long episodes in total and all are available to binge on ITVX now. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.

Si estás dispuesto a pagar el precio claro, porque saldrás con un dolor de cabeza importante por tanto giro en los acontecimientos 😂😂 The story is laced with the arrogance of those who have an air of entitlement and assumed superiority; and is shot through with elements of outrageously toxic and debauched behaviour of student drinking societies – both fascinating and revolting in equal measure.

Dad’s in a hurry the moment we touch down, eager to meet up with Elizabeth and her kids. My soon-to-be family, which is beyond weird to think about. It’s been ten years since Mom died, ten years that Dad and I have been a unit of two. What we have works fine, but I’m trying to keep an open mind. Elizabeth makes Dad happy, and she seems cool enough. It’s the other Mayweathers—eight on this trip alone—I’m not so sure about. I adored the cast. The romance was fine, sometimes I was skeptical and sometimes I was onboard. Liv had such a great team and support sThe Reunion is one of those books that plays greatly on secrets and how those who keep them are capable of doing far more damage than we could ever imagine. I really enjoyed how we a led to believe that our footing is so very strong in our convictions. We are after all told the tale by the very victim of said crime. And it feels so comfortable and easy to go along with all this. Why not after all we are told the truth and our aim on these villainous people is so very true. And as we come face to face with our rouges gallery they all seem to play up to their stereotypes. It is far too easy to believe ill of someone when they display all those inherently suspicious characteristics that we associate with those who wish us harm. But this also goes to show us the skill of the writer she plays each hand well and to me at least none of them descend into some sort of pantomime villainy. But is all as we perceive perhaps not and what we do get to see is that even what may be perceived as the most solid of friendship groups can in fact be very toxic. Undenether the surface miss trust and jealousy can run rampant and when communication has completely broken down it is far ti easy to jump to conclusions. Polly Phillips is really making a name for herself in the domestic thriller category of fiction thanks to The Reunion and My Best Friend’s Murder. It is great to see this Australian author produce another consuming friendship revenge tale!
