Both were originally released on GameCube before receiving New Play Control updates on Wii. With Pikmin 2 often hailed as the best game in the series, this will be the first time either game has gotten an official HD release. It’s a shame they don’t hold value in what makes this IP so fantastic, and it’s especially annoying that their previous comments in trying to revive the series not working have always been they feel they need to iterate to make it more interesting or unique, when really it’s one of the few series they own where they could just release “yet another but similar”.
