Properties
To ensure the nicotine in NRT gum enters the bloodstream through the blood vessels in the mouth, the CDC provides the following instructions for use: Strength groups: E. moluccana—S2 unseasoned, SD2 seasoned; E. woolsiana ssp . macrocarpa—(S2) unseasoned, (SD2) seasoned. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), nicotine gum differs from ordinary chewing gum, which a person puts in their mouth and chews. With this approach, the person would swallow the nicotine, and the gum would not have the intended effect. Repeat the “chew” and “place” steps, using different locations within the mouth, until the gum no longer produces a tingling sensation. Nicotine gum comes in two strengths: 2 milligrams (mg) and 4 mg. The recommended dosage depends on how much tobacco a person typically uses each day and whether they smoke within 30 minutes of waking in the morning.
People should use nicotine gum when they need it. This can be when a person feels the urge to use a tobacco product or if they are in a situation that might ordinarily cause tobacco cravings. Stress grades: F11, F14, F17, F22 (unseasoned); F17, F22, F27, F34 (seasoned) when visually stress graded according to AS 2082—2000: Timber—Hardwood—Visually stress-graded for structural purposes.Unit shrinkage: 0.43% (tangential), 0.23% (radial)—these values apply to timber of E. moluccana reconditioned after seasoning.
