The two speakers perform best when as far apart as possible or else sound seems to become a little distorted. We guess they kind of drown each other out. But the wires are quite short, so you aren’t going to be able to spread them too far. CDs, audio files and music streaming services can all sound just as they were meant to with this powerful yet sleek system.
Internet radio gives you access to sounds from around the world, as well as some gems which would otherwise have been hidden from you. The display is situated at the top of the speaker, and a small yet accessible dial houses the controls.This hi-fi has a small remote control which is useful, but the text next to the buttons is small and quite hard to read. This means it’s not ideal for older people and those with impaired eyesight. Once you learn where the buttons are it’s ok, but a larger remote with more clearly labelled buttons might have been better. Should you want a hi-fi system with everything – several inputs, CD, WiFi/Bluetooth/NFC, radio, brilliant sound and a whole lot of fun – then Sony must have had you in mind when they made this pretty wonderful collection. We wouldn’t say it is one for those who like the sleek, unobtrusive look. But for someone who likes things to be a bit jazzier and ‘technological’ looking, then it is something different.
