The Sandman Omnibus Series by Neil Gaiman - Goodreads

So, what’s this horror/ fantasy series about? While it follows Morpheus, his family of omnipotent beings known as The Endless, and the people he encounters, it’s also about much more. Gaiman and his collaborators used the series to explore stories as a concept. That central theme is examined through the prism of mythology, folklore, history, and classic literature to create a kaleidoscope of tales, looking at concept from a variety of angles.

However, if you want to know more about how Sandman came to be and how Neil Gaiman wove him into the existing DC Universe, read on for an explanation of the four main Sandmen of the DC Universe. Golden Age Sandman, Wesley Dodds

This 2013 25th anniversary series acts as a prelude to Sandman, explaining how Morpheus wound up in captivity for nearly a century at the start of the series. Netflix announced in June 2019 that it had completed a deal with Warner Bros. to develop Sandman into a live-action television series run by Allan Heinberg, with Gaiman and Goyer serving as executive producers. [105] The cast, including Tom Sturridge as the title character, was announced in January [106] and May 2021. [107]
