This was exactly what I needed after a self-imposed run of really heavy books that have taken their toll. Publishing a debut novel in your seventies isn’t common, although some late bloomers – Amy Witting leaps to mind – write brilliant first books later in life. Catherine Johns isn’t as distilled and sharp as Witting was at autobiographical fiction (few writers are) but she’s within spitting distance. Kylie was being honoured for the launch of her new clothing brand Khy at the awards and Timothée was there to present Martin Scorsese with the film innovator of the year award. I've run into this thing in the past couple of weeks where I read a thing and am then unable to succinctly discuss how I feel about said thing.

Bustle The Best Celebrity Liquor Brands, According To Deuxmoi - Bustle

The novel does have some ups and downs and was enjoyable enough to read. I don't regret the time that I spent with the book, but it did only take a little over an hour to read so it wasn't a massive commitment on my time. I've just read more compelling books about stylists, like The Stylist which was also published by William Morrow.... even Cover Story by Susan Riggetti out earlier this year from William Morrow felt like a better time spent in this similar world, but with a more compelling plot. Counterfeit by Kirstin Chen, also by William Morrow and out this year was a better time spent, though that has more in common with Cover Story than it does here. Peters, Fletcher (2022-11-08). "After Reading Her Book, It's Time to Cancel Deuxmoi". The Daily Beast . Retrieved 2023-01-01. Listen, it's important to note that I'm not a reading elitist as I enjoy the good trashy novel as much as the next person and I try not to judge other people's taste in books, but anyone who rated this book five stars needs to get their priorities straight. I genuinely cannot see what was appealing about this book. Celebrity gossip is very entertaining, but the way it was written into the storyline was frankly jarring. There was some lengthy smut but it was NOT GOOD and seemed a little bit like it was written by a fourteen year old on Wattpad. I will stand by the fact that a good plot line is a thousand times more satisfying than a badly written sex scene until I DIE. The book also includes a couple of sex scenes for the romance b plot that was boiling under the surface for most of the book. It was whatever, but felt included to shift this into something of a women's fiction market than just being left to wither and die in the 'how do we market this' wasteland that is general fiction. a b Fuentes, Tamara (2022-11-11). "DeuxMoi and Jessica Goodman Break Down Both Fact and Fiction in Their New Book, 'Anon Pls.' ". Cosmopolitan . Retrieved 2023-01-01.I had someone ask me yesterday in the Q&A if the love interest was fictionalized, and it's not," Deuxmoi says. "People are like, 'Why'd you want to write this book?' And I'm like, 'Because so much crazy sh*t really went on that people don't know about.' And nobody asks about the love interest. I've talked to a lot of people about this book. I guess they just assume it's fake."

This book would only be entertaining for those who’ve never read a book outside of assigned readings in high school. So, unless you’re weirdly obsessed with deuxmoi and want her attention, don’t bother reading this book.HBO Max and Berlanti Productions also have an upcoming novel adaptation “The Girls on the Bus” in the works, plus several DC-themed projects for the streamer including a Green Lantern series. When 19th-century writer William Lloyd first saw an aquarium at the Regent’s Park Fish House, his wonderment was palpable: “Here ... amidst living vegetation, a living pike, with his gorgeous livery of mottled green and gold.” The way she's tapped into our obsession with celebrity culture, demystifying it and also creating even more intrigue with celeb blind items and news breaks is attention-worthy, and the account is a staple for me. A source tells Entertainment Tonight that Kylie "felt comfortable stepping out with Timothée" at Bey's show and the US Open because she's "confident and secure in their relationship." Kylie also "feels like she can be herself with him" and she "really likes that." Alongside academic essays examining the extent to which notions of time are imbedded in Aboriginal languages and the archaeological record are a range of reflections on how “everywhen” manifests through dance, music, art and story. Yolnu scholars speak of “songspirals” that collapse time as they transmit a living Dreaming.
