As with all, all-mesh Alesis kits the responsive, authentic feel makes the drumming and audio experience expressive and powerful. While this feature is nice, the transition between the velocity ranges is very noticeable. Cymbal Velocities Similar to the pads, the cymbals also feature different samples for the varying velocities. If you hit the bow of the cymbal hard, a bell sample plays.

A mesh head is made from a stretched material to create skins similar to those found on an acoustic drum kit.
